Accessibility

Buying tires should not require good eyesight, a mouse, or a steady hand. We build this site to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 at level AA, and we treat a report of a barrier as a defect rather than a request.

Honest status, because a statement claiming more than is true helps nobody: this site is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. Most of it meets the standard; some of it has not been independently verified.

Done and checked:

• Text and interface colours meet the AA contrast minimums in both the light and dark themes. This was measured across the palette, not assumed — fifteen combinations failed the first audit and were corrected.
• Every control is reachable with a keyboard, and focus is always visible.
• The layout works down to phone width with no horizontal scrolling, and reflows rather than shrinking when text is enlarged.
• Specifications — sizes, bolt patterns, offsets, part numbers — are set in a monospaced face with tabular figures so they align and can be compared down a column.
• Motion respects the reduced-motion setting in your operating system.

Not yet verified, and we would rather say so:

• A full audit with screen readers has not been completed. The fitment pickers and the checkout flow are the parts most likely to have problems.
• Some product images come from manufacturers with no useful description attached, so alternative text is generated from the product name rather than describing the image.

If something here is hard to use with a screen reader, a keyboard, voice control, or at a larger text size, we want to hear about it — that feedback is the most useful kind we get, because it finds the things an automated check cannot.

If the site is blocking you from buying, call us and we will take the order over the phone. That is not a substitute for fixing the site, and we will still fix it — but you should not have to wait for a release to get tires.
